CVA Candidate Status

Designation applicants who lack the necessary experience requirement but have passed the CVA exam can use the designation; however, they must display the qualification “Candidate” after the designation: “CVA Candidate”.

CVA candidate has up to three years to fulfill the applicable Experience Requirement and to attest to such evidence. If it is not produced within three years, the designation applicant will lose the right to use the designation altogether. Candidates must comply with EACVA’s/NACVA’s recertification requirements.

Please refer to the CVA Candidate Handbook to find out more about the requirements to become a CVA, the certification process and maintaining the CVA designation.
